Never underestimate what reading the directions will do for your knitting.

Jane had an epiphany while knitting her Building Blocks Afghan; namely that reading the instructions makes a difference. Her cable square was ripply at one end and she couldn't figure out why. Then she re-read the pattern and learned that she was supposed to decrease before knitting the border. Yarn: Jade Sapphire 8 ply Cashmere (Aran: 100% Cashmere, 100 yards). Believe it or not, the color is natural and all the pictures were taken at the same time in the same place.  Odd how some look like a completely different color.

Cornelia finished her Azul Poncho and sent it off to the finisher. Yarn: Rasta (Super Bulky: 100% Merino, 90 yards).

She began swatching with Cascade 220 (Worsted: 100% Superwash Wool, 200 yards) for the Vivacious Hi-Lo pullover. Her gauge was different than the pattern: 5.4 sts/1" versus 4.5 sts/1". I'll modify the pattern to accommodate her gauge.

Trammi had me confirm how much she had left to knit on her Two-way top.Yarn: Anzula Dreamy (Fingering: 75% Merino, 15% Cashmere, 10% Silk, 385 yards) and Artyarns Beaded Silk & Sequins (DK: 100% Silk, 110 yards).

She was ready to join in the round and begin knitting my Manteau Capelet in  Ensemble Light and Beaded Silk and Sequins Light.

Elena cast on for the Arika Cowl knit with Tundra (Bulky: 60% Alpaca, 30% Merino, 10% Silk, 120 yards).

Cindy working on her hat, made a lot of progress since last week. Yarn: Zara (DK: 100% Merino, 137 yards).

And on Wednesday...

Mary finished her Sock Yarn Sweater. Kudos to Mary who took two classes with me this fall and finished both projects.

She had time to knit a few more rounds on her Welcome Baby Gift Set hat. Both the hat and sweater are knit with Artyarns Merino Cloud (Fingering: 80% Merino, 20% Cashmere, 436 yards).

Lastly, we took stock of her progress with her customfit tunic.  After she finishes the second front, it will be time to sew it together! Exciting times we live in! Yarn: Classic Elite Yarns Seedling (Aran: 100% Cotton, 110 yards).

Eileen jazzed up my Simple & Easy Hat for the Whole Family.  Using the pattern as a template, she added some different stitches, sparkly yarn (held with Zara), and the fun squiggly bits on the top. Really Cute!

Lois is nearly done with her Fallen Halo Cowl in Artyarns Cashmere 5 and Cashmere Glitter

What's your happy place?  This is Harry's.
