Show and Tell

Sandra finished her first felted bag project, knit with Plymouth Boku and Cascade 220. She's going to attach leather handles to give it a more finished look.
She (painstakingly in my opinion) sewed these sequins onto a regular t-shirt. She was like "it's no big deal about it". We absolutely loved it. I already put in my order for a t-shirt for my baby friend. Sandra is one of the most creative people I've met.
Yay, Elizabeth!!!!! This sweater was quite a journey for her. Besides the fact that the sweater pattern required her to knit with 4 different skeins at once to get "the look", it came out WAY too big. Given her sewing talents she steeked the sweater to adjust the size. It's longer than she would've originally wanted but is happy with it. Best of all... IT'S DONE!
I believe this is all the same color way of Noro Silk Garden. Correct me if I'm wrong, Elizabeth.
Her most recent undertaking was designing a top down cardigan to replicate the sweater in this picture.
She's finished the cardigan. (See how happy she is - all this finishing!) She chose not to add shaping into the neckline because it was easier (for her) to steek it. What is a no-brainer with a sewing machine for her strikes fear into my heart. Cutting my knitting? Yikes!
She's holding two variegated yarns together to make the loopy fringe. There was this pesky bit about not reading the directions for make a loop that we reviewed. It's going to look awesome when it's done.
Another project that has been a journey, fraught with pain and frustration, has been to find the perfect sweater for this button. She fell in love with this button and decided to find a sweater pattern to go with it. Easier said than done. She didn't like her first choice. Began work on the sweater below. It hibernated a while and has now resurfaced.
Lynton. The sweater pattern is fairly basic because the button is going to be the showpiece. She has one more sleeve to knit and then finishing and she has crossed another pattern off the list. Elizabeth are you going to take the Westport Yarns New Year's Resolution Challenge?
Next on her needles will be the Mason Dixon Knitting: Courthouse Steps Denim Blanket in the colors above.
Linda G is revisiting her Fiber Trends Simply Seed Stitch Jacket LL 483, she's almost done with the back and then will learn the neck shaping.
She finished her Eyelet Cowl in Rowan Lima yarn. This pattern looks great in any yarn. She's going to start another one as a gift for her daughter.
Ta Da! Finished my Curlicue Shawl. Really fun to make.
