Elizabeth finished a pair of gift mittens out of yarn she bought at Rhinebeck, this year. I just finished a scarf from yarn I bought last year. Hmmmm. The yarn is from Sheldridge Farm. The pattern is from HJS Studio, WW2 Mittens & Gloves.
Lois finished the back of her Plymouth Kimono #1530. She's knitting it in Noro Kureyon with the trim in black. It's going to be stunning. We opted to work 3 needle bind off for the shoulders instead of sewing.
She's making beautiful progress with her Infinite Cabled Cowl by Dina Mor. The yarn is Aslan Trends Royal Alpaca, a super soft yarn in great colors.
Mary finished her Christine's Baby Bootie from a Knitted Baby Bootie class at Westport Yarns. She made them from Koigu pppm on size 0 double points. They came out newborn size, so size 1's will get her a more generic baby size.
Mary finished one of her Elizabeth Zimmerman Mystery Mittens (from her class with Lynn Wilson at Westport Yarns. Originally these were intended for her husband, they're just not going to be big enough. She's going to swatch with super bulky yarn. They are seriously cool looking mittens.
Sandra shared with us some awesome hand-sewn items she designed and made. Her attention to detail and fine stitching were really impressive. We all encouraged her to consider opening an Etsy site.
She is making great progress on her Sea Glass Felted Bag by Lynn Wilson. Sandra is knitting with Plymouth Boku for the body of the bag. The bottom and top are in Cascade 220.
Michelle checked in about how long to knit these mens socks before beginning the gusset. Then she set about weaving in ends, her favorite activity. The pattern is #26 Parachute Top by Sharon Sorken, from Vogue Knitting, Early Fall 2010. She knit it in Berroco Seduce yarn and worked a crocheted edging in Artyarns Silk Pearl.
