Wednesday's Stitch and Chat

Michelle was looking to find patterns for stash yarn. We found Falls of Foyers wrap for Madelintosh Pashmina (Sport: 75% Merino, 15% Silk, 10% Cashmere goat, 360 yards).

She is ready to sew her Building Blocks Afghan together. We played musical squares until we got the look we liked.

Lois wanted an opinion on her gauge in Warmi (Worsted: 70% Alpaca, 30% Merino, 164 yards) for the Building Blocks Afghan.

She cast on for the Bernat Family Ties Skinny Tie  for her husband, but was finding it really hard to work the p1, k1 increase same stitch. The yarn wasn't right for the pattern and we agreed she should knit him a hat instead!

Eileen is knitting several Simple & Easy Hats for the Whole Family (gathered version) in Jets colors.

She was finding the pompoms she made with the clover pompom maker kind of wimpy.  When I showed her how to make them we discovered it was user error. 😜 In her defense, the directions on the package leave a little to be desired.

Eileen knit a gauge for Rock the Pompom in madelinetosh chunky. I love the intended pompom.

She's cruising on her Building in Color afghan in Plymouth Worsted Merino Superwash (Worsted: 100% Merino, 218 yards).

Mary's Easy Breezy Summer Dress (Westport Yarns pattern) came out bigger than she expected; that's ok it will fit next year. Yarn: CoBaSi Plus (Worsted: 55% Cotton, 21% Nylon, 16% Bamboo, 8% Silk, 177 yards).

Mary had a question about the decrease row on her Urban Ranch Shawl in Berroco Suede: (Worsted: 100% Nylon, 120 yards). The yarn is sticky, you have to either have a manicure or moisture your hands.

She has knit both the front and back of the sweater she's knitting in Lang Grande (Bulky: 100% Cotton, 68 yards).
