Reading in between the stitches.

Tuesday's Stitch and Chat

Jane swatched for the Purl Soho Top-Down Turtleneck Cardigan in Debbie Baby Cashmerino (Sport: 55% Wool, 33% Microfiber, 12% Cashmere, 136 yards).

She continues to make progress on her her Beech Hill Poncho in Acadia (DK: 60% Merino, 20% Silk, 20% Alpaca, 145 yards).  This textured yarn has a great hand.

Calann came in with what she called a "mess" on her  Rowan Straight top. She tried to fix it on her own and got all twisted about.  I'm glad she did, even though she got twisted, it's the best way to learn how to fix your own knitting.  I disentangled the stitches one by one and her stitch count was still off. After close examination, she had knit into the space between stitches.

Her intarsia sweater is coming along.  She has started knitting the boat.

Trammi looked up (videos) for the popcorn stitch on the internet and found a method that differed from the pattern she is knitting. She knit most of the square in the picture using the method she found on the internet. The uppermost left hand popcorn was knit using the pattern directions. She liked the original one better and will take it out.

Allison was away on vacation without her knitting! Luckily she found a yarn store and found pattern for a linen cardigan.  Her gauge swatch was a little tighter.  She's going to wash and block the swatch to see if the blocked gauge works.

The poncho she knit for her niece was back from the finisher. She was so pleased with herself, as well she should be. It's adorable.

Cindy is knitting a Baby Wrap Cardigan. It is knit in the garter stitch.  Inadvertently, she joined the yarn on the incorrect side and ended up with a random bit of stockinette.  I showed her how she had to be looking at purl bumps when joining yarn to maintain the garter stitch.

Cornelia has recovered from her poncho related knitting hiatus and is working on her customfit.

Eileen continues to persevere on the last section of her Exploration Station

Mary reached the point where she reverses the shaping on her customfit sweater.

She picked up an extra stitch like Calann by knitting into the space between two stitches in the middle.

Otherwise her Building Blocks are moving along.
