17 accessories

Reflecting on 2015's state of the knitting:

I have not knit a stitch on:

Mystery Shawl 2012: Rockefeller still hibernating. After knitting Exploration Station, I am feeling renewing interest.  Dare I make finishing or frogging this a New Year's Resolution?

Trains, Planes, and Automobiles Scarf - started December 2011, still on the needles. Rowan Kidsilk Haze (Lace: 70% Mohair, 30% Silk, 229 yards).  I'm fine with this still being on the needles.  I keep it in Joe's car as my emergency knitting.

The winner for longest on the needles and going nowhere fast is the Striped Cardigan a/k/a Shore - started March 2010. It remains high up on a shelf. It is as much work (if not more) to rip it out as it would be to finish it.  This year it gets donated, somewhere.

I have five other projects that are hibernating. A Lizard Ridge pillow, Noro Log Cabin Afghan, Casu Cowl ,

Babette Crocheted Afghan worked with leftovers of Koigu PPPM (Fingering: 100% Washable Merino, 175 yards). These have no deadline, they can continue in stasis. And lastly,

Big Damn Heroes It's more of a summer poncho and I'll revisit it after the winter.

Going into 2016, four projects at a time continue to be manageable, keep my attention and I actually finished things.

1 project from stash yarns.
1 project that's been hibernating: fix, frog or finish.
1 project with new yarn.  Let's face it, there are always going to be new tempting yarns.
1 project that is a store sample, design or class prep.

That being said, on my needles now:

From stash yarns: A CustomFit sweater knit with Cephalopod Traveller (DK: 100% Merino, 280 yards).

Fix, frog or finish the Rockefeller shawl.  I love how it looks as is, the last section of it I don't like and that's what has me caught up short.  This is a picture of another Raveler's finished shawl.  It's the stripey wings that I'm not sure about. Any comments or thoughts are welcome.

New Yarn: A lovely shade of pink Artyarns Cashmere 5 and Cashmere Glitter for another Fallen Halo. Also a perfect, easy portable project that fits neatly in my bag.

Store Sample: Adama Cowl for the shop.  It will be a class at our retreat at Mohonk Mountain House and in the shop in March. I'm knitting it with Plymouth Arequipa (Worsted: 90% Merino, 10% Silk, 218 yards).

After spending a few hours in Yarnia (a magical place) I found three types of techniques that I want to pursue this year: Fair Isle, Two Color Brioche, and Sequence Knitting.

I also want to explore Mosaic knitting because I was inspired by Frieze

That just about covers it. I think.

What is your project scoreboard?  Come on, knit & tell.
