Count with me, 1, 2, 3
Lois has two more sections and then she is done with this strip for our next Sampler Blanket in Zara (DK: 100% Merino, 136 yards). Overall she has enjoyed knitting it.
By, the way, we gave Mary our finished Sampler Blanket for her new granddaughter. But THAT will have to wait for another day.
Elizabeth is knitting Marin with Annapurna (Sport: 80% Merino, 10% Cashmere, 10% Nylon, 385 yards) from A Verb for Keeping Warm. This pattern has been in my queue since it came out!
Her count was off. We had a shared aha! moment. When reading a pattern if it doesn't make sense or you're off, it's all how you read English. Read out loud, you will hear it differently. Try it, you'll see.
Judy is working on a Mary Maxim Granny's pattern called Granny's Little Girl.
It's a charming sweater. Judy was having trouble getting the count right as well. It was a matter of practice and getting back into the groove.
Linda is working on baby booties. In her first effort on the right, her decreases were not as neat. On her second effort, on the left, she nailed it. The yarn is Zara as well. The pattern is a free pattern from Plymouth.
At this point, Linda said that she is addicted to watching tv while knitting. It's gotten to the point where she almost can't watch tv without knitting. I know I can't. It makes me feel all squirmy.
Michelle finished her second L'Enveloppe. This one is for her mother as a surprise. Her mother was going to knit it but her gauge was so tight, that she didn't like knitting on #13 needles and it spoiled it for her. The yarn is Berroco Flicker (Worsted: 87% Alpaca, 8% Acrylic, 5% Other, 189).
