It's good to have a plan

Lois wants to make a scarf for her son and he likes blue and green. We didn't have any variegated yarns that fit the bill so she improvised (like any good mother) and combined blue and green Lima yarn on a 15 (?) needle.

There are 2 schools of thought here. If she asks him if he likes it and he doesn't then it's back to the drawing board. If she doesn't ask him, she can knit it holding the 2 colors together. Either way there is no assurance that he's going to wear it.

In the final analysis, she's going to knit it as it's pictured above and let the chips fall where they may.
Sherry was wear her Crocheted Ruffled scarf that she crocheted out of Berroco Lustra and Tahki Stella in gold.
She crocheted a Lace Bolero in Torino Bulky.
Sherry has apparently been really busy crocheting and having a great time at it. This is the Holey Moley Shawl by Edie Eckman
She picked up a couple of sparkly Great Adirondack yarns at the Westport Yarns Trunk Show. She's going to crochet this Wool Crepe yarn (blackberry colorway) in the Crocus pattern.
Sherry is going to combine Smoochie (sparkly sock yarn) and H.D. Sequins in the Spider Lace Scarf.
Abby brought in her finished blanket knit in Cascade 128.
She started Lynn Wilson's Love it Sampler Blanket in Blue Sky Alpacas Organic Cotton. It's a great learning pattern.
Robin swatched with Malou yarn to test my Infinity Wrap. It's the same one Michelle knit in Fumato - just different gauges. The pattern will have several different options.
