Purling back any number of stitches over 100 becomes a cross between zen and a torturous form of boredom. It's worth it because I am loving how my Charlotte's Daughter's Shawl is coming out. It's those @#% purl rows back. I keep wanting to multitask.I actually timed it and it now takes approximately 8 or more minutes per row. I never used to time my knitting.
Thankfully I only have 6 more row left. I know I made my Charlotte's Web shawl 8 rows (or 1 pattern repeat) longer. I don't think I have the stamina to do that. Not that I know it's even necessary. These are the thoughts that wander through my mind as I plod through the 289 stitches.
Should I make it longer? NO! STOP AT THE END OF THE PATTERN. BLOCK & WEAR. YOU LOVE THE COLORS.
And then...
Pattern ideas come to me
Puzzling things become clearer (not adolescents though, they are still an enigma)
I think about what I want to start next. Oddly enough, there are a few lace pattern that appeal to me.
Then I think of other things I want to get done, but that would mean putting down the needles - only got 2 hands, getting purl punchy.
Just keep purling. 6 more rows, then I'll do a lace bind off. Block.
After that I'm looking forward to combining all 5 colors in the fringe. It'll be really pretty.

I'm glad you and Charlotte's daughter are getting along now. If she kept giving you trouble, I was going to have to have a stern word with Charlotte.
