It took a villiage

Elizabeth is making another pair of knee socks for her daughter. The toe (heel and cuff) will be in the blue (Shibui Yarn) and the foot and leg will be in the green (lagoon by Colinette Jitterbug). She's following a pattern for a "very basic toe up knee sock" she found on the internet.
Mary out did herself. Concerned that the bear would frighten small children, she outfitted her bear with clothes from "Build a Bear". The pink uggs are outstanding. This was an inspired move on her part. The idea of being able to dress it, makes me kind of want to make one.
The bear passed the test, the baby did not cry! In fact moments after this picture was taken she spent the rest of the morning squishing it and mouthing it.
Now that the felted bag is done, Mary is ready for her next mindless knit. She's going to knit the Soft & Drapey Shrug in Cadiz and Artyarns Beaded Pearl & Sequin.
She also picked up a skein of Mango Moon Nirvana yarn to make a flap happy hat in an upcoming class at Knitting Central.
Home stretch for Linda's 3rd Wallaby. She's working on the neck ribbing and then the hood! I think she's deserved a Wallaby vacation.
