Artyarns Kaleidoscope Crocheted Scarf

Tonight was the first session of the Artyarns Kaleidoscope Crocheted Scarf class at Knitting Central. The scarf comes as a kit in either pastel or jewel tones. Interestingly, with six people in the class, there was a 50-50 split for color choices!

The flower motif is a relatively simple one, the challenge lies in the almost laceweight yarn (1 ply cashmere) and the tiny hook (calls for a C, some had to go down two sizes). We got out the OTT Lights and turned on all the lamps and got to it. By the end of the evening, everyone had finished one flower and was into their second.
Beth thoughtfully wore her finished dressed up tank (the pattern is in the book Knit Loves Crochet by Candi Jensen) from a class over the summer. It came out great; she made it using Vintage Cotton and Brilla yarns. Well done!
I always think that the dog looks like he's flying when he lies like this. Super Dog keeping watch over his domain.
