Flowers

I began the morning working on my Kaleidoscope Scarf from Artyarns. Even though I crocheted a gauge, when I settled into my project, my flowers were clearly too tiny. Just for grins and giggles, I decided to go up a hook size and it looks so much nicer. I admit I have mixed feelings about this, I already crocheted 10 flowers and crocheted them together. The one on the top is my first effort.
My second effort is on the bottom. See? It looks much nicer.

Afterwards, Winkie and I went for a walk. The morning temp was 56 degrees. Perfect walking weather. On our walk we encountered 3 REALLY LARGE DOGS. One was a regular big dog. To tell you the truth, I don't even know what type because I was in awe of the second two. One was an Irish Wolfhound and one was a Mastiff (the Henry and Mudge dog).
The amazing thing is that none of these big dogs barked at Winkie and he didn't bark at them. When we pass smaller dogs they go mental. He Blinked!
We saw these beautiful "black-eyed Susan" flowers. There was a definite chill in the air and leaves and achorns are beginning to fall. I love this part of almost fall.

Thanks, I'm enjoying making it. All the changing colors keeps it interesting.

I thought the article really captured the spirit well.
