Here's Nancy...
My sister joined us today. She came, she saw, she knit, she jumped right into the fray. It was great having her join us. She shared a beautiful pattern book, the spring/summer Tricot Magazine. Here's a Cable Lace Cardigan she's working on from Vogue Knitting, Spring/Summer 2004.
Everyone was bursting with projects that needed ripping, discussing, and a few design modifications.

Elizabeth is continues to knit her socks on two circs. Not as portable as one at a time. She had a good idea for a little shaping above the ankle, she went down a needle size for a few rounds above the heel flap.
Her Artyarns 5 ply cashmere scarf experienced an unfortunate dye lot situation. Hence a design modification. The lighter skein will wrap around the back of the neck.

On her tunic, she forgot to change from a small needle at the bottom to a larger needle and didn't realize it until it was time to change back to the smaller needle after all the lacework. How many times have we all done a ribbing and just kept going and going like the energizer bunny? Elizabeth couldn't have handled it better. She had a few cookies and will do some creative blocking when she's done. (The lack of needle change didn't change the dimensions drastically).

She found a pattern online for a Floppy Fair isle Hat, and is going to try her hand at stranding. (Stranding as it so happens was Mary's knitting vocabulary word for the day).

Michelle found a beautiful sweater from the Garnstudio. They have an amazing selection of free patterns in both knit and crochet designs.

Michelle began Ann's lace scarf pattern in earnest now after getting gauge.
She began to bring out the dressed up tank and Mary told her not too, as "she'd messed that up too". She began working the pattern off one row, for just a couple of rows. We put in several stitch markers to act as road signs. "Right side ahead".

Mary forgot where she left of in her travelling scarf, so we had to "travel" back in to a recognizable place in the pattern. She received the second scarf, this scarf person favors greens, and out of the magic bag, came the perfect yarn. To keep in gauge with the scarf, she's going to work a k2p2 ribbing. I'm impressed with her turnover rate. She was going to send out her scarf today and the second scarf would easily be ready in a day or too.
Robin came in announcing she needed help. We discovered she's doing a lot of 11pm knitting on her blanket. I think she either started the pattern a row short or a row ahead and began working in off the wrong side instead of right side.

While I was taking back the blanket, she began to work on booties, a project she's done several times before. It was not cooperating and here we have a picture of "knitters gone wild".
I was working on the filet crochet for the dressed up tank class. I like charts better than words for crochet, so first I drew the pattern on graph paper, then wrote it, then crocheted it all over again to check my work. It made it a lot easier.
