Michelle has finished knitting her "On the go shawl", knit in Torino Bulky. It has a great loft and softness to it. I look forward to seeing it sewn together.

Next on Michelle's agenda, is a dog bed for her dog, Casey. It's knit in Cascade 220 and will be felted. It's nice "mindless" knit as a break from more mindful projects.

Happily, Michelle finished the sweatshirt knit in
Crystal Palace Puffin yarn. It's wonderfully soft and over sized like a favorite sweatshirt should be. I can' wait to hear how her step-daughter reacted when she received it.
Michelle told us about a knitting cruise, specifically,
Norwegian Cruise Lines . We'll have to keep an eye out for this next year! That's a great vacation getaway with knitting friends.
She also turned us onto
Socks that Rock by Blue Mountain Fiber Arts, beautiful hand-dyed yarn for socks.
Claudia brought in the great baby sweater she made in Torino yarn. I love the stitch definition of this yarn.

She told us that the baby wrap cardigan she made was well received! How could it not?
She started a two-tone rib shrug from the book Fitted Knits. She's knitting it in Del Cerro yarn from Aslan. It's a new yarn company that
Knitting Central is carrying. It's light and soft and has good stitch definition.

Claudia is making a the Be Sweet Fine Scarf/Shawl in Rowan Kid Silk Haze, after being inspired by Robin's. She did however, share Robin's opinion of the yarn. She found it harder to work with and more time consuming. Regardless, it knits up beautifully with terrific shine and fullness.

Speaking of the Fine Scarf, Robin's gift was really well received!
Robin is in the midst of working on the Lorna's Laces pattern for a bulky cardigan for children.
She's knitting it in Cascade Ecological Wool.

I finished two projects recently myself, golf clubs for my husband's birthday (pattern will be available soon) and the Wonderful Wallaby for my nephew.

The golf clubs are knit with Plymouth Encore Worsted for easy care.

The Wallaby is knit in Plymouth Jeanne. It's a cotton/acrylic blend that's machine washable/dryable. Perfect for warmer climates/seasons.
