When last we met our caped crusaders

That line from the end of (the original series) Batman always comes to me when Calann says, "since I last saw you".

She is working on the yoke of the #396 Poncho. Every week we conquer another decrease row and then she has nine rows even to knit.

Cornelia is working on the Azel Poncho in Rasta (Super Bulky: 100% Merino, 90 yards) for her granddaughter.  The pattern has one-row horizontal buttonholes that gave her a run for the money.  She wrote out the (lengthy) directions step by step to make it easier to follow.  I really like the one-row horizontal buttonhole, they do require more effort. Nancy joined us for the first time today.  She was having trouble interpreting the instructions in the  Two Harbors Poncho knit with Blue Sky Fibers Extra (Aran: 55% Alpaca, 45% Merino, 218 yards). The directions for the cowl read, "pick up and knit" she read it as cast on/knit at same time.

Interpreting the difference between "pick up stitches" and "pick up and knit" catch many people up short.

Pick up stitches can mean picking up loops along the edge of your knit.

Pick up and knit means picking up a loop and knitting the yarn through.

It's been a while since Trammi worked on this top in Anzula Dreamy (Fingering: 75% Merino, 15% Cashmere, 10% Silk, 385 yards) and Artyarns Beaded Silk & Sequins (DK: 100% Silk, 110 yards). We were able to determine where she left off based on her stitch count and her notes.

She worked the armhole on her cabled sweater knit with Anzula Cricket (DK: 80% Merino, 10% Nylon, 10% Cashmere, 250 yards). Now she can knit even to finish the back.

Eleanor revisited provisional cast ons in order to begin the Big Fat Stratus knit with Amitola Grande (Aran: 80% Wool, 20% Silk, 273 yards) and Cotton Merino (Aran: 70% Cotton, 30% Merino, 115 yards).

Cindy was finishing up her  Flat Foot Floogie knit with Cascade 128 (Bulky, 100% Superwash wool, 128 yards). We realized that she had put the face on backwards. It was also too big.

This face of her Flat Foot Floogie reminded me of Senor Wences. I'm probably dating myself, s'alright.

We took it back and made it smaller - and reattached it facing the right way. ;)

Allison's Big Stratus cowl looks amazing.
