Knitters with a plan

Janice was starting Mrs. Watson in Ultra Alpaca Light (Sport: Sport: 50% Alpaca, 50% Wool, 144 yards). There was an abbreviation right off the bat that caught her up short.  CDD.  Sounds like a medicine you'd see a commercial about with so many side effects that you forget what it's for.  CDD stands for Centered Double Decrease: slip the next two stitches as if to knit, knit 1, pass the slipped stitches over the knit stitch.

After a few rows of working the pattern, we realized that she was not interpreting the language correctly and was getting a lopsided result.  She plans on ripping it out and starting again.

She was smitten with my French Cancan in Anzula Cricket (DK: 80% Merino, 10% Nylon, 10% Cashmere, 250 yards) and decided she had to have one.

We agreed that we all worship the "Church" of Anzula Yarns.

Rosie came with 3 objectives:

1. My Add Yarn & Knit: a refresher of the button-hole bind off reminder.

2. Tidy up Otto's nether regions, finish for Christmas.

3. Tardis Beanie, learning fair isle.

AND she brought homemade truffles. I'm happy to report that we achieved all three of her objectives for the morning.

Eleanor almost up to armholes on her Cocoon sweater in North Star (Bulky: Bulky: 92% Alpaca, 8% Nylon, 109 yards).

She also shared her Hitchhiker with eyelets as a modification knit with Miss Babs Yowza (Worsted: 100% Merino, 560 yards).

Cornelia finally feels on track with her customfit.  I learned that she started over again over the weekend.  I truly admire her perseverance.

Jane joined us for the first time.  She is knitting Twin Harbors Poncho. Her timing was perfect.  She was at the point where she had to bind off and put stitches on waste yarn. She's knitting it with Extra (Aran: 55% Alpaca, 45 % Merino, 218 yards).

Allison started a baby gift, Little Boater Crew neck sweater in Zara (DK: 100% Merino, 136 yards).

Serious knitting happening here.
