Elizabeth has been knitting Christmas Lights with leftover yarn. One of her kids called "dibs". Now she has to make lights for all her kids! She didn't have the name of the pattern handy so I did a Ravelry search, click here. The light bulbs are knit separately and sewn onto an icord.
She is finishing a sweater, Coraline, that she is not enjoying. Part of the issue was (as she put it) "this English reading thing" otherwise known as selective reading. Also, she had to wash and block the swatch to get gauge. As such it's hard to trust that the sweater will really fit because she has to block it to know.
She revisited swatching for Climbing Rose Henley. She'll go down to a #2 to knit it.
This is a beautiful sweater.
Sunaina came to work on her Noro Log Cabin Afghan. She's finished her squares of Noro Silk Garden (Aran: 45% Mohair, 45% Silk, 10% Wool, 110 yards) and Kureyon (Aran, 100% wool, 110 yards). She wanted help picking up stitches for the garter bands and how to graft them together.
Judith continues her troubled relationship with her crochet project, Granny's Little Girl.
Cookie came for the first time and was working on crocheted chemo hats, Sandy Slouch Hat.
The band wasn't coming out right, crochet instructions can be tricky to interpret.
