It started with these three colors or fingering weight sock yarn. The reddish multi and green are Claudia Hand Paints and the yellow is Koigu. Even though these are a far cry from my usual purples and blues, I was drawn to them as a combination.
The pattern is the Churchmouse Koigu Linen Stitch Scarf. It's always intrigued me, how the linen stitch looks woven. The scarf is knit lengthwise which at first seems daunting with 450 sts. You quickly lose sight of that as you see the colors play out. I enjoyed knitting this scarf every step of the way. It was very rewarding to see the textures and colors emerge.
My scarf is approximately 5" x 60". This scarf belongs to Westport Yarns as a sample for an upcoming Linen Stitch Workshop. The workshop has filled up twice and we are now taking names for a third workshop, a date hasn't been set yet.
I plan on casting on for another one! In a completely different set of colors.

Has anybody knitted this in the round? I saw where someone has work out a way to do do but I am wondering the nuisances and how it turned out.
