Donna mastered the lace eyelet stitch and moved onto cables this week.
Her pattern swatches are serving double duty as swatches to ultimately design her own blanket sampler. The squares will be 7" x 7". She's going to work on reading a pattern with more happening on each row to get better at pattern reading in general.I learned that she has a design background, particularly sewing. That explains why she is fearless in her approach to learning new things and why mistakes don't bother her.
It's a pleasure to have someone say, "great, I can learn how to take out stitches" when faced with a mistake. Definitely not something I hear everyday.
Elizabeth has a lovely skein of Artyarns Silk Rhapsody. She swatched for my Starry Lace Shawl/Scarf pattern which is written for both fingering and worsted weight yarns.
