I finished the Insight Vest by Doris Chan. I used Berroco Origami and I'm really happy with how it came out. The colorway (4371) has so many different colors in it, it will go with everything. I made it significantly shorter than the pattern called for. The only blocking it needed was to stretch out the armholes.
I'm working on an 11th hour shrug which I credit to (blame) my sister. While shopping together, I found a great outfit that she suggested I wear to an upcoming event. I commented that I needed something in case it was cold (the top is sleeveless). She casually said, "you can make something".
Now you may be thinking, that I didn't have to listen to her. Your right. However, it was a challenge/opportunity. So I'm working on a shrug pattern. There was only 1 color/yarn in the whole store that worked; Artyarns Silk Pearl #188. There were only two skeins, so hopefully I'll be able to block it out to be sufficient. I've knit through one skein and it measures 16" long. It might be a little tight.

Proud to be your muse (instigator) for your last minute shrug! I'm sure you will make something amazing.
Hopefully it won't be too cold?
Your sister IS a trouble maker. She didn't try to stop me once when I was buying yarn at the NH Sheep and Wool Festival. OTOH, I didn't try to stop her either...
She even offered to take my picture with some of it. She said, "I've been to enough of these with Pam." :-D
We didn't, however, get any fried dough.
