Friday's Knitting

Robin is thinking about putting her Cropped Cardigan in short-term parking for now and concentrate on more mindless knitting for the time being.
She's knitting one of Lynn Wilson's bulky cabled scarf patterns as a gift.
Yesterday Mary started a class at Westport Yarns with Lynn Wilson for Elizabeth Zimmerman's mystery mittens. They are knit flat and mysteriously finished. They are really cool looking.
While she was at Stitches East she saw a skirt sample knit in linen. It's the pattern with 3 ruffled tiers. She fell in love with it and bought these shades of Claudia Handpaints linen. I didn't know Claudia Handpaints made a linen! I've always liked the look of the skirt, I'm looking forward to seeing it.
Mary picked up the small Nantucket bag in brown. I still do like this bag.
Michelle started these socks (worked 2 at a time, toe up) on Wednesday. They are a gift for a friend. She also worked on the crocheted edging of her parachute top from the Vogue Knitting Early Fall magazine. She's using Art Yarns silk pearl in dark gray.
And that is all she wrote.

I love the three-tier skirt as well. It looks so cute for the summer. claudia's handpaint linen is very similar to Louet's Euroflax, but I really like the colors Mary chose from Claudia's. Can't wait to see the picture
