Robin finished a ribbed headband to match the Coco Knits Double Wrap Cowl. She knit it up in Tweedy Alpaca.
Margarite is back! She came into the store yesterday totally prepared with patterns she wanted to knit. This scarf is called "Oversized Ragg Scarf' by Nancy Shroyer, featured in Knitscene Winter/Spring 2010. The yarn she chose is Minnow Knits Minnow Merino.
She spent the summer working on my Crocheted Sampler pattern using Cotton Twist yarn. The squares are lively and fun.
I showed her three different ways to join the squares. She chose the method in the middle, slip stitch seam with the outer loops.
Lois began another Soft & Drapey shrug, this one in Cadiz and Ritratto. There was a village vote as to doubling the Ritratto (top narrow stripe) or single (bottom stripe). We voted for the single strand.
She's finished most of the pieces for her wool cabled cardigan. The sleeves were about 3 inches too short. She's going to knit them longer and them piece it together.
Last weekend Lois went to a Farmer's Market in Maine. She bought 2 skeins of naturally dyed wool, it still smelled like hay.
Sherry modeled her Magnificent Mantle in Minnow Knits Minnow Merino. Gorgeous.
She swatched for a motif for Drew Emborsky's Turnberry Cardigan. She began working on another swatch for the stitch pattern for the body of the cardigan.
It was a busy day in the neighborhood.
