What to knit next?

Diane was ready to sew her sweater together. She learned the matress stitch. We set in the sleeves, she knit the neckline, and now she's ready to sew the side and sleeve seams. The pattern is from Blue Sky Alpaca, "Family Unisex Sweater" and the yarn is Rowan Lima.

She's knitting a small purse with Tahki Ritratto. Diane brought in 3 different yarns with varying yardages/gauges and wanted my help in figuring out what to make next. For leftover Lima she's going to knit the Eyelet Cowl from the Vogue Holiday Issue this winter. There was a scarf from Luxury One Skein book that will work with 2 skeins of Artyarns of Supermerino. There are 2 skeins of Pearl Rhapsody that still need a pattern.

Abby tried on her poncho and found she only had 6 more inches to knit. When you're working a poncho top down in the round the size is deceiving. She wants to knit either a sun cover up or a shrug.

Here is the parade of finished knits from Michelle. First there is the blocked and beautiful baby sweater designed by Alana Dakos, knit in Minnow knits Cotton Tail.

In the case of which came first the buttons or the yarn, the buttons came first. Michelle picked the yarn color based on the Zecca buttons, the really finish the sweater off beautifully.
The infamous skiff sweater is done and we were both delighted with the results. The sweater for all it's idiosyncrasies will be a real go to piece.
As Michelle concludes her "finishing mode", she is beginning her Louet "Cia" sweater in Kidlin yarn. She really had a tough time with getting gauge. I want to go on record for her that she knit, washed and blocked the swatch as per the sweater gauge instructions. Then I made her knit another unblocked gauge for comparison. The unblocked gauge was bigger than the blocked and washed swatch.
