Some people get the urge to do spring cleaning. I get the urge to do fall yarn clean-up. I wait for a quiet time (this may be a protracted wait) and try to take stock of my stash. It's like a trip down memory lane. I remember where and when I bought almost everything I have. Sometimes I really can't figure out what I was thinking or what possessed me to buy some yarns. I know in the moment I just "had to have it".
So now I'm sorting my yarn, some I'm going to donate to my sister's girl scout/volunteer efforts, some yarn is getting reassigned to different projects, some will become gifts, some may go onto Ravelry as sell/trade, and the rest go back into the stash for future review.
