Michelle is just past halfway done on this blanket, knit in Sublime Organic DK. I told her I want a mini handkerchief version; I find this blanket so soothing to look at and its really soft. She'll have enough yarn to knit a back up blanket.
Here's the first armhole seam of Michelle's Double Seed Stitch Cardigan by Rosemary Drysdale and featured in the 2006 Spring/Summer Tahki book. She knit it with Clip.
Mary received the next travelling scarf from the Ravelry group (by the same name). I like this one the best so far. The future owner of this scarf asked that each person knit with a natural yarn and in a natural color. She's then going to dye it with Kool-Aid. This will be a far more uniform looking scarf. We found a "purse stitch" from the new Harmony Guide of Lace & Eyelet stitches.
I am so excited to see Mary's sweater come together. She's worked so hard on it. The straps are done. She (and Michelle) have to crochet around the armhole and yoke and VOILA! it will be done.
I finished the body of my lace sweater. Today I started the sleeves; I'm knitting them in the round on 2 double pointed circulars so I can avoid sewing the seams. I think it's taking longer this way. I need suggestions for what to call it.
Also, as P.S. to yesterdays post about the Knitting Central Sock club, my sock is exclusive to the sock club until after Thanksgiving. If you are interested in the sock, leave me a comment and I'll let you know when it comes available.
