I'd been making good progress on my lace sweater (I was sitting outside on our patio) until a very nice couple came by and stopped to chat with us. Against my better judgment and knitting rules for lace, I continued to work on the lace sweater as we chatted. Well, I'm paying for that. There have been a few mistakes I could work out without ripping back. Now I've found a mistake that forces for to decide to rip or not to rip. Have I put in a life line? No. Are there 200 sts? Yes. Argh. I'm going to try and fix it by just ripping the sts involved before I pull out all the rows.
