Hats off to all

On Sunday I taught a class at Knitting Central, crocheting in the round.
The sample was knit (oops! crocheted) with Malabrigo Chunky. All the colors are richly dyed and it's hard to choose just one! We started off with a crochet gauge (could you hear the gauge groans?) That behind us, we started our hats from the top and worked our way out to the right diameter of the crown before crocheting even toward the brim. There's a simple shell stitch running along the brim.

Mary crocheted hers in a green shade of Malabrigo Chunky. For all the fun we had, she got a lot done and will be back to finish it of.
Christine was crocheting with Sheep Shop two, a fantastic variegated colorway that looks like an autumn landscape (that was pretty poetic for me).
Joanne was working with the Malabrigo Chunky is the same colorway that I was. I love how the shading kind of spirals with the hat.
