Michelle started the
hoodie from
Sublime's Organic Cotton
DK book. The picture doesn't do the yarn justice. It's knitting up really soft and even.

Since I'm writing this a week later, she's probably done. This is the skirt piece to a baby doll tunic she's making for her step-daughter. The pattern alone has been a challenge and Michelle's gone back to Suss several times with questions. They provided her with a rewrite of the pattern that made things much easier!

I just finished crocheting this shawl and it was a lot of fun. It's from Doris Chan's first book, Amazing Lace. I used
Tahki Cotton Classic.

Isn't this lace pattern subtle and beautiful? I was test knitting it for one of the women I work with, look for the pattern to be available at
Knitting Central in a week or so.

Here's a great scarf that Elizabeth is knitting with
Artyarns Supermerino yarn. I love this yarn (and the other yarns that the company produces). The colors are really rich looking.

Mary's on her way with new sock knit with the crazy
cujo (
koigu) yarn. I gave her a different crochet flower pattern to work with and she made two connected flowers that look really pretty. We have a winner!

Maureen joined us for the first time today. She hadn't knit in years and it came right back to her. Before I knew it, she had knit about 8" on her scarf. She came into the store a day later with it finished and got yarn for a new one. I imagine it'll be well on it's way to being completed by the end of this week.
