Jane has been joining us at Tuesday Stitch and Chat's at Westport Yarns. She is making a blanket for her grandchild out of Sprout doubled. The blanket did not come out to measurements, we are having a gauge lesson as we speak. The pattern is called Barbara and is from the book, Yarn Girls Guide to Kid Knits.
She tried crocheting around the edges, however that was going to use up too much yarn. She decided to pick up and knit more garter around the edges.
This is Jane's first official swatch (ever) for a baby blanket from the Debbie Bliss Cashmerino 3 booklet. The yarn is Cascade 220 sport superwash. A quote from Jane upon finishing said swatch "as an ADD adult, it was torture to knit the swatch and I survived."
Mary finished the second sleeve and is in the home stretch for her Corinne sweater. She really enjoyed knitting this sweater, the way each part is a segment.
Her Mirasol Nuna Cardigan is progressing nicely. It's a little on the boring side for her right now, however she loves the yarn and how it is coming out.
Michelle shared the Prism Delicato lace yarn she bought at Westport Yarns with Elizabeth. Totally taunting her with it's beauty. Can you say enabler? Michelle is going to knit the Split Cable Wimple as a gift. She should be able to get 2 wimples out of 1 skein. I think she ought to give the second purple one to me, don't you think?
Here is Elizabeth's Licorice Stick sock that I neglected to share a picture of last week. One sock down, one to go.
